Harrisburg Promise Program

Steelton-Highspire School District has partnered with Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) to offer our seventh grade students to be part of the Harrisburg Promise program.  This program targets seventh grade students and provides supports for them to maintain their academics and prepare for post-secondary education.  Current seventh grade students were selected for the Harrisburg Promise program based on them attaining a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least a 2.5.  These students will spend the next five years of their high school career attending monthly meetings at HACC to provide supplemental support to prepare our students to be college and career ready.  Students completing the program maintaining their GPA, staying free of drugs and alcohol, and attending the monthly meetings will receive two years of free tuition at any of the HACC campuses.  This is an amazing opportunity for our students!
