Dr. Seuss, born Theodore Geisel, was born on March 2nd, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Originally intending to finish college to become an English teacher, he graduated and pursued a higher degree, eventually leaving to pursue his love of art. He wrote many children's books such as:- Green Eggs and Ham
- The Lorax
- Oh, The Places You'll Go!
- The Cat in the Hat
The illustrations in those books are from the imagination of Dr. Seuss and are still popular with samll children.
