Outsider Summer Program Opportunities

    • June21-July 17, 2020: S.C.O.P.E. Summer College Opportunity Program in Education will run for 4 weeks beginning June 21 on the Penn State Main Campus in University Park.  Students will take college courses, study for the SAT, and learn time management including study skills.  This program is for students currently in 10th grade and will be in 11th grade next school year. They should be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a GPA of 3.0 and have an interest in education careers. Students should be enrolled in advanced courses.  Preference will be given to first-generation and economically disadvantaged candidates.   This is an opportunity to experience college life while earning college credit. All living and academic expenses are paid for by the Multicultural Office and generous donors.  Click here for an application

    • June 28-July 25, 2020: The Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive, The University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy, and the Penn State, Pennsylvania School for Excellence in Agricultural Sciences, all former Governor's School programs, are accepting applications for the 2020 summer programs.  Current high school sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply. Join a group of emerging leaders from 15+ countries around the world. Work with a diverse team to solve a real problem facing a company or organization.       • University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy Click here for more information Students will be introduced to the world of health care, including issues of primary care, prevention, public health, career exploration, human growth and development, and area of practice.
      • The Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Agricultural Sciences (PSEAS) is hosting a 4-week residential summer program at University Park from July 5-31, 2020.  Full scholarships are available. High school juniors with interest in the food, agricultural, and natural resource sciences should apply.  Click for more information
