United Way Ready for School, Ready to Succeed

Working with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit and local schools, United Way of the Capital Region has launched Ready for School, Ready to Succeed. Through this initiative, children ages 3 to 5 (and their families) can attend free virtual and in-person workshops to help prepare for kindergarten. This program is available to ALL families.

The program also helps connect families to:

  • Affordable preschool programs (if available).
  • Early intervention support through the Capital Area Intermediate Unit.
  • Transportation and translation services.
  • Basic needs services like food, clothing and shelter.
