Meet Doug
Anthony “Doug” Lawrence was a scholarship athlete at the University of Maryland and three-year letterman on the football team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and worked as a Lead Investigator and Senior Investigator in the District of Columbia for different agencies over a 24 year span while implementing, mentoring and leading respective internship programs.
Lawrence co-founded True Colors, an education program for middle school and high school students with a focus on career pathways and college readiness emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The trendsetting three-dimensions of learning system using classroom instruction, influencers and field trips has students motivated to participate in the program with three goals to Inform, Inspire, and Improve.
Lawrence launched his writing career in 1999, releasing his first novelette The Ring of Betrayal, then When Tomorrow Comes, in 2002. In 2005, his novel, I No Longer Play the Game, which is his signature work of fiction, was also published by the Beckham House Publishing Group.
After 17 years since last being published, Lawrence captivates with a fresh outlook inspired by maturity, Lawrence releases his most recent fiction work to encourage a new generation to read.

Meet Kevin
Kevin E. Lawrence is Co-Founder, and CEO of We Believe In Your Child Too, a nonprofit started in 2017 that provides financial support and mentorship to students seeking post-secondary career opportunities; and True Colors "Me Enhanced by We,” a career readiness program for high school students started in 2021.
Lawrence began his professional career serving as a juvenile counselor and youth advocate in Pennsylvania and later in Virginia. Inspired by his time working to counsel the youth and guide them on the right path, Lawrence transitioned into a successful career in higher education excelling in various admissions roles for Kee Business College, ECPI University and Sentara College of Health Science.
In 2005, Lawrence opened Changing Faces Barbershop, which quickly became one of the premiere barbershops in the Hamptons Roads, VA area. In 2006, pivoting off the success of Changing Faces Barbershop, Lawrence, along with his brother Doug, started Lawrence Brothers Promotion, which provides marketing services for beauty and healthcare industry professionals.
In addition to his professional career, Lawrence served as a football coach at Bishop McDevitt High School and was a member of the coaching staff that help win the 1995 AA Boys State Championship. He spent five years coaching track and field at The Milton Hershey School and was a member of three State Championship teams. Lawrence has also worked extensively with the Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA running their summer camp programs.
Lawrence is a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and graduate of Susquehanna Township High School. He attended Shippensburg University on a football and track and field scholarship where he majored in criminal justice.
