Red Strikers Bowling Club
The Red Strikers Bowling Club has been going strong for more than 35 years. It was started by a group of parents looking for activities for their children with special needs. Many of the original members are still bowling each week. This club is run by volunteers, many who are family or friends of a bowler and show up 52 weeks a year to make sure everything runs smoothly.
The club bowls every Saturday at 12 noon. New members are always welcome and you only need to show up at ABC East Lanes between 11:30am-11:45am to join! The cost is $6.00 per week which includes 2 games and shoe rental. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at:
redstrikersbowlingclub@aol.com or click here to go to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Redstrikersbowlingclub
We only have a few rules:
If your bowler needs physical or emotional assistance, you must stay to help them.
We start bowling at 12 noon, please arrive between 11:45 and noon, so you are ready to bowl by start time.
Please keep language and actions PG rated :)
Be kind to each other...and...
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

CAIU & UPMC Work Immersion Program
The Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) and UPMC West Shore have partnered to create a work immersion program, which aims to enhance employment outcomes for students with disabilities.
Students entering the work immersion program will spend their full final school year immersed in UPMC departments, partnering with co-workers, mentors, and program staff to learn duties, explore career interests, and successfully contribute to UPMC business needs.
A typical day includes 1.5 hours of classroom instruction and 5 hours of internship experience in hospital departments.
