Accessibility Statement

    Steelton-Highspire School District (SHSD) is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities. The SHSD seeks to ensure that its website complies with applicable regulations governing accessibility and usability for students, parents and members of the community with disabilities. 

    The SHSD is continuously working to develop and improve its website, including without limitation; the implementation and testing of leading web accessibility technologies in order to enhance accessibility for all users.

    The majority of pages on the SHSD website are available in HTML format that can be deciphered by screen readers.

    PDF format is used to preserve the content and layout of our hard copy publications. Publications in PDF can only be viewed and printed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader, version 3.0 or higher. You can download and get help using the Acrobat Reader at the Adobe Systems, Inc. site. The downloadable Acrobat Reader software is available at NO CHARGE from Adobe.

    In order to improve viewing some of these files, readers may wish to open the document and use the text conversion available from the File menu. Anyone using screen-reading devices generally are unable to read documents directly in PDF format unless they have the accessibility plug-in installed on their system along with the Adobe Acrobat Reader.  This plug-in is available at NO CHARGE from Adobe.
