SHSD Elementary Attendance Competition Winners May 2023
Roller Families, We are excited to announce our attendance competition winners for the month of May. The following classrooms had the highest attendance in their grade bands for the month! These classrooms will be awarded a special prize. Our building attendance average overall for the month was 88.7%, which is an increase from April, which was 87.8%! We got really close to our goal of 89% or higher for the last month of the school year! NICE WORK! Grades K-2 Winner: Ms. Drahus' Class- 94% Runner Up: Ms. Martin's & Ms. Preston's Classes- 88% *Special shout out to Ms. Drahus’ class for being the winner for the 7th time this year! Great job! Grades 3-5 Winner: Ms. Quinn's Class- 89% Runner Up: Mr. Gaffey's, Ms. Toro Cotto, & Mrs. Howard's Classes- 86% Grade 6 and Self-Contained Classrooms 6th Grade Winner: Ms. Goles' Class- 91% Self-Contained Winner: Ms. Bellamy-Hunter's Class- 98% Runner Up: Ms. Foster's Class- 89% Next year, we would like to see all homeroom and building-wide attendance remain above 92% at all times. We will be ready to start the 2023-2024 strong! Please remember to establish strong routines and household expectations to prepare for the first days of school. Being present, on time, and on target are keys to your student's success! Have a great summer!

These classrooms will be awarded a special prize. Our building attendance average overall for the month was 87.8%, which is a decrease from March, which was 88.9%! We'd like to see if we can reach 89% or higher for the last month of the school year! Grades K-2 Winner: Ms. Drahus' Class- 90% Runner Up: Ms. Martin's Class- 88% *Special shout out to Ms. Drahus’ class for being the winner for the 6th time this year! Keep it up!!! Grades 3-5 Winner: Mrs. Donnelly's Class- 89% Runner Up: Mrs. Appleby's & Mrs. Howard's Classes- 86% Grade 6 and Self-Contained Classrooms 6th Grade Winner: Ms. Shaud's & Mr. Zendt's Classes- 92% Self-Contained Winner: Ms. Bellamy-Hunter's Class- 99% Runner Up: Ms. Foster's & Ms. Goles' Clasess- 91% Keep up the great work, families and students!!!

Roller Families, We are excited to announce our attendance competition winners for the month of December. The following classrooms had the highest attendance in their grade bands for the month! These classrooms will be awarded with a special prize. Our building attendance average overall for the month was 85.1% which was a very small decline from November, which was 88.7%. We know that we have had days off this month and that there continues to be an increase in illnesses. When students are healthy, it is extremely important to make sure that they are attending school. We'd like to see if we can reach 88% to start the new year! Grades K-2 Winner: Mr. Lesniak- 89% Runner Up: Ms. Rudy- 88% Grades 3-5 Winner: Mr. Gaffey- 88% Runner Up: Mr. Tang Sing- 87% Grade 6 and Self-Contained Classrooms Winner: Ms. Bellamy-Hunter- 87% Runner Up: Ms. Dougherty- 86% Keep up the great work families and students!!!

Roller Families, We are excited to announce our attendance competition winners for the month of November. The following classrooms had the highest attendance in their grade bands for the month! These classrooms will be awarded with a special prize. Our building attendance average overall for the month was 88.7% which was a very small decline from October, which was 89.9%. We know that we have had days off this month and have some scheduled days off coming up to start December. We also know that there has been an increase in illnesses. When students are healthy, it is extremely important to make sure that they are attending school. We'd like to see if we can reach 90% for the month of December! Grades K-2 Winner: Ms. Drahus' Class- 92% Runner Up: Mr. Morris- 90% Grades 3-5 Winner: Ms. Toro's Class- 90% Runner Up: Mr. Houck and Ms. Howard's Class- 89% *Special shout out to Ms. Howard's and Mr. Houck's class for being the winner or runner-up for 3 months in a row! Keep it up!!! Grade 6 and Self-Contained Classrooms Winner: Ms. Brandon's and Mr. Porpilia's Class- 90% Runner Up: Ms. Foster's Class- 89% *Special shout out to Ms. Brandon's class for being the winner for 2 months in a row!
