Junior High Anti Bullying Program Assembly
Anti Bullying Assembly
On Wednesday, September 18th, Our Steel-High Middle School was treated to a special visit from a Harrisburg native, Chris “Handles” Franklin, from The Harlem Globetrotters. Chris has been all over the world, but one of his favorite things to do within his life is speak to young people about important issues such as bullying. After doing some amazing things with his basketball, Chris spoke about bullying and, through a few games involving a basketball (of course), reinforced how important it is to be respectful to everyone instead of bullying others. He also reinforced four important life concepts. They were: 1. Don’t do drugs. 2. Respect your teachers, coaches, and parents. 3. Do your best in school, and 4. Believe in your dreams. We hope he can come back and share some of his wisdom about other life issues.
